This is my first ever blog so be gentle with me! I am at home on Maternity leave with my second (likely my last) baby. A beautiful baby girl Mia, who is already 5 months old (where does the time go?). She matches nicely to my first beautiful baby girl Paige who is three going on thirty and keeping her mummy and daddy very busy!
I figured I needed to do something to try and keep my brain function above the 30% it seems to be functioning at these days, why not try blogging.
So my sister, who is my best friend on the planet, is 32 weeks pregnant with her first baby. After a very long and bumpy road, we are all very excited that her bubba will be arriving in 7 short weeks. Naturally, I want to give her the best baby shower I can. We have decided to go with a 'nest theme' and have managed to find some really cute decorative bird cages and bird ornaments, (gotta love eBay).
I do not pretend to have any skill in decorating, so I have scoured google and looked at every imaginable nest themed baby shower pic I can find. My plan is to copy little bits from every shower, slap it all together and hope it doesn't look tacky. She is having a girl so I am going with a pink and brown colour palette.
I think it is highly probable that I have bitten off more than I can chew, I know I have already spent far more than I intended. Does anyone else do that - in an effort to try and spoil someone you love, your plans become bigger than Ben Hur and starting spiraling out of control. Anyway, the shower is nearly upon us and I hope to pull it off, I'll have to put up pics and you can me know what you think.
